December 3, 2015:Prunedale Woman Facing Prison for Traffic Fatality

(22:32) SANTA CRUZ- A Prunedale woman convicted of Gross Vehicular manslaughter, in the death of a Watsonville boy, is facing at least three years in prison. In March of 2014 20 year old Brenda Alcala-Velador ran a stop light going 70 miles per hour at Riverside Drive and Main Street hitting 10 year old Jesus “Jesse” Ventura Vazquez. Vazquez was hospitalized in a coma and died seven months later. Alcala-Veldor initially cooperated with authorities, then left the area and was arrested in Vacaville. She is due back in court for sentencing on January 11th.
