(07:57) SANTA CRUZ – Capitola police arrested a man on gun charges Monday night. Officers were patrolling the 4200 block of Portola Drive around midnight when they pulled over a car for a vehicle infraction. Police discovered that the driver, 20-year-old Charles Switzer, was unlicensed. A search of his vehicle recovered an unloaded gun with its serial number scratched off. Switzer was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail. (S.G.)
