(08:45) Salinas – In an effort to reduce the amount of burglaries, Salinas police are warning residents not to leave boxes from Christmas gifts out in the open. It is suggested to break down gift boxes and to put them in the recycling bins or take them to your local recycling center. The Monterey Regional Waste Management District is providing collection bins for post-holiday recycling until January 31st.
