(19:30) SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – You may want to deliver your Christmas gifts in person this year, as mailed packages are repeatedly being stolen off of people‘s front porches. Most recently, Santa Cruz County sheriff’s deputies found stolen gifts under a tree inside a Santa Cruz home. Deputies were at the property due to a probation infraction, and the resident was suspected of being in possession of stolen property. The Sheriff’s department said the gifts were stolen off the doorstep’s of various locations throughout the county. Many of the recovered gifts have yet to be returned to their owner.
