(10:08) CALIFORNIA – State health officials are urging California residents to protect themselves against mosquito-borne diseases when travelling abroad. This year, over 200 Californians have contracted chikungunya or dengue after visiting Latin American countries or the Big Island of Hawai’i. In response, the California Department of Public Health is urging travelers to apply insect repellent containing DEET, picaridin, oil of lemon eucalyptus or IR3535. (S.G.)
