(07:40) Santa Cruz – The woman who is being charged with hitting and killing a bicyclist was in court yesterday. 29 year-old Violeta Cervantes allegedly hit Scott Brunton Sunday night while she was driving on Freedom Boulevard in Watsonville. A judge increased Cervantes’ bail from $50,000 to $500,000. Cervantes’ arraignment will continue at 8:30 tomorrow morning.
