A death row inmate has died from suspected COVID-19 complications. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said 58 year old Pedro Arias, was pronounced dead Sunday at an area hospital. A coroner will later determine his exact cause of death, officials said. Arias was sentenced to death in 1990 for first-degree murder and second-degree robbery with a firearm.
