A system that only manages symptoms rather than treating the human body as a whole as in naturopathic medicine.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Glidden discuss two news articles on medical sceening tests. More evidence is coming to light that screen tests for cancers and heart disease are being over-used. A recent study found that 44% of patients that had undergone an EKG had no history of heart disease and no symptoms. The story also outline a case of a woman who had an EKG that led to further tests that punctured her aorta. Because of the injury to the aorta the woman had to get a heart transplant.
