The smoke is clearing and slowly but surly san lorenzo valley residents are returning home… about 900 people were allowed to re-populate yesterday.
The c-z-u complex fire is now fifty-one percent contained as of 6-pm last evening… with over 86-thousand acres charred. Nearly 15-hundred buildings were lost to the lightening fire that started august 16.
The fire suppression and repair is ongoing… with a total of 1,777 fire personnel battling the blaze. A major warming trend is headed our way this weekend and the 42 crews assigned to the c-z-u fire will continue their efforts to keep the community safe.
