The Santa Cruz County Sheriffs Office is taking action after a Declaration of Local Health Emergency was issued by the Santa Cruz County Health Officer.
Ashley Keehn with the Sheriff’s Office, mentioned in an interview to KSCO that there are no confirmed cases of Covid-19 within the county jail system, its inmates, or staff.
Keehn also mentions that visits to see inmates Roundtree and Blaine St will be kept “contact free”, and solutions such as screens or video messaging will be implemented in lieu of “contact visits”.
At this time, there are no reported cases of the Coronavirus in Santa Cruz County.
