(07:55) Salinas – Congressman Jimmy Panetta is scheduled to hold an immigration press conference tomorrow in Salinas. Panetta is planning to share his proposed legislation, the Immigrant Victim Protection Act, which he will introduce in Congress next week. If the bill is passed, it would increase the number of “U” and “T” Visas designated for undocumented immigrant witnesses and victims of violent crimes and human trafficking who are cooperating with law enforcement and living in the United States. The conference is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. at the Monterey County Government Center, in Salinas.
