A conference aiming to explore Jewish identity in the modern world will be held at UC Santa Cruz this week. The two-day event, coordinated by UCSC’s Center for Jewish Studies, has been titled ‘Liminal Spaces and the Jewish Imagination’. The conference will feature panels discussing global perspectives on Jewish identity, focusing primarily on the Venice Ghetto.
