The first pair of wild born California Condors to hatch a chick since 1985 are making progress. The hatchling, named Miracle is the first completely wild chick in the Big Sur area in over a century. The chick has recently started flying with its parents and the family has made several flights from Big Sur to the Pinnacles and back. Environmentalist believes that this is a milestone for the recovery of the species.
