A California Highway Patrol officer suffered minor injuries when he lost control of his patrol vehicle while avoiding a man who was skateboarding on highway 1 near Plaskett yesterday. The 11 a-m incident occurred as the officer was responding to the fire burning off Plaskett Ridge Road. Instead of getting to the fire, he was transported to an area trauma center after the cruiser rolled over several times. The skateboarder was uninjured in the incident.
