A Carmel teenager has been sentenced to spend 4 years behind bars for the vehicular manslaughter of her 16 year-old friend, and the injury of another woman. Margot McNally pleaded Guilty last month to being Under The Influence when she crashed her vehicle head-on into another vehicle, causing her passenger and friend (16 year-old Anabelle Vandenbroucke) to suffer fatal injuries. The woman who was driving the other vehicle, 68 year-old Sarah Coleman, suffered a compound leg fracture in the accident. She attended this morning’s sentencing hearing, and has also filed a civil suit against McNally.
A management conference for the civil case has been scheduled for July 23rd.
