Capitola police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a restaurant early Monday morning. Officials say a man entered the business on the 3500 block of Clares Street around midnight. He held employees at gunpoint, took an undisclosed amount of cash, then fled the restaurant, headed in the direction of Bay Federal Credit Union. The robber has been described a Latino or African-American man, around 18 to 20 years old, and between 5’5” and 5’8”. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Capitola police.
