Nearly 3,000 P.G. & E. customers are without power right now in the Capitola, Shangri-La Estates, Pleasure Point, and Opal Cliffs areas right now. That’s due to wires being down near the intersection of Capitola Road and Thompson Avenue. The outage began at 9:08 a.m., and P.G. & E. workers hope to have all power restored there by 12:45 this afternoon.
