A new law has gone into effect which will restrict the use of pesticides at California schools. Under the Healthy School Act, all schools and licensed child care centers must report their annual use of pesticides and develop a pest management plan. Anyone handling pesticides on school grounds must also undergo training. The Healthy School Act will also restrict the use of other chemicals, including bleach.
