While a spokesperson for California American Water Company has announced that the company will withdraw it’s appeal to the Marina City Planning Commission’s denial of a Coastal Development Permit….the company now plans to appeal directly to the California Coastal Commission. At issue are the permits the company needs so they can put in intake slant wells where the old Cemex Sand Mining Plant used to be….so they can build their proposed Desalination Plant in Marina.
