CA Releases “Playbook” For Dealing With COVID stress 04-07-20 16:57 DC

Gov. Gavin Newsom says some Californians are doing well during the COVID emergency, while others are struggling. He spent part of his daily briefing today talking about Californians’ physical and emotional well-being amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Quoting: “Some people are coping quite well. Others are struggling, understandably,” he said. “Struggling because they lost their job and they don’t have a paycheck. Struggling because their kids aren’t at school. Struggling in ways where they’re having a hard time sleeping, where they’re a little bit shorter, a little more irritable. And they’re prone to doing things that aren’t healthy.”

To help Californians, the Office of the California Surgeon General is rolling out a “playbook” to help Californians regulate their stress during the pandemic. The seven-page document lists six major ways of dealing with stress, with separate documents for adults and kids.
