California’s 34 U-C and C-S-U campuses could begin offering abortion services under a proposal approved Wednesday by the state assembly.
Senate approval and the governor’s signature are necessary to make the measure law. It would require public colleges to offer medication abortions by 2022. None offer the service today. Medication abortions use two pills to induce abortion up to the 10th week of pregnancy.
