A Central California astronaut helped raise a hundred thousand dollars for the 17-branch Monterey County Free Library System, over the weekend. Jose Hernandez, who’s father worked as a migrant farmworker, was a speaker at the Foundation For Monterey County Free Libraries 24th annual Words And Wine Event at Laguna Seca. The money is slated to be used to promote S.T.E.M. education, and reading.
