California Governor Gavin Newsom has signed a bill into law that makes California the first state in the nation to offer tax-payer-funded health care to low-income adults living in this country illegally. Now low-income adults (age 25 or younger) will be eligible for the state’s Medicaid program. State officials say that that should cover approximately 90,000 people.
