With temperatures expected to soar into the triple digits in the san lorenzo valley, 3, 200 residents of the San Lorenzo Valley Water District can’t drink the water.
The water mainlines in the SLV water district were destroyed by the c-z-u fire and the water is considered toxic… in fact you can’t boil and drink it either, nor can you shower or bathe in the water.
The following areas are under the do not drink, do not boil order:
Riverside grove and San Lorenzo park areas of Boulder creek; water services off of bear creek road; water services up hwy 236 from hwy9; areas north from the town of Brookdale at the intersection of hwy 9 and Alba road. For more information see the slv water district web site.
