Fire concerns are causing closures in Big Sur. Citing rising fire dangers following recent fires associated with unprecedented numbers of visitors to the Big Sur area, the Los Padres National Forest has implemented emergency road closures for the following: Central Coast/Cone Peak Road
South Coast Ridge Road
Los Burros/Willow Creek Road
Plaskett Ridge Road.
The areas will remain closed until the treat of fire is less likely.
