The Monterey Symphony’s Endowment Fund has received 2.4 million dollars from a local philanthropist. Carmel resident Roberta “Bertie’ Bialek Elliott (who is the sister of business magnate and investor Warren Buffet) has been attending performances by the symphony for more than 3 decades. The Monterey Symphony is scheduled to open its 73rd season on October 20th. It will be called “Sound Waves”, and tickets are available at:
