(07:45) King City – The King City CHP announced that they will be conducting a Sobriety/ Driver License Checkpoint somewhere within the unincorporated Monterey County this Labor Day weekend. CHP officials say a sobriety/driver license checkpoint is a proven effective tool for reducing injuries and is designed to augment existing patrol operations. Grant funding for this program was provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety through National Highway Safety Administration.
