(18:20) SANTA CRUZ – A grant, to study and predict the effects of ocean acidification, has been awarded to U-C Santa Cruz. Ocean acidification occurs when carbon dioxide dissolves in seawater. The nearly 1 million dollars is from the national science foundation, and will fund the development of new modeling tools.
