(06:00) Monterey – The Soberanes Fire that has been burning since July 22, in Big Sur is now 91,100 acres and is still 60 percent contained. An evacuation warning was issued yesterday (Sunday) for a section of Monterey county along the Pacific Coast Highway due to expected wind increase. The evacuation warning is bounded on the north by Castro Canyon, on the south by the Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, on the east by North Coast Ridge Road and on the west by Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway). The Evacuation Warning will remain in effect till Tuesday evening.
