(16:05) GILROY – An explosion inside a garage caused several homes to burn in Gilroy today. The homeowner suspects that the 90-degree heat caused a gas tank to explode around 12:30 p.m. The garage burned down and the blaze spread to two houses along Whitehurst Road, displacing six people. Firefighters had the fire contained before it could spread to nearby vegetation.
