(18:53) MARINA-The Monterey County District Attorney’s Office will not file charges against a Marina police officer who shot and killed a man who was attacking his wife with a knife. The incident took place in December of 2015, when police responded to reports of a man attacking his wife with a knife, an officer shot the armed man killing him, the man’s wife died a few hours later from the attack. Yesterday (Thurs) the DA’s office said that an investigation determined the shooting was justified, saying the officer feared for both his own life and that of the victim.
