A man tried to rob a store on Santa Cruz’s Pacific Avenue on Saturday. The employee working at the time was able to prevent the robbery, and no items were taken. The suspect walked into the shop on the 13-hundred block at 10:15a.m., and demanded cash from the register. The clerk refused, and screamed. The man ran away; nobody was injured.
