Attempted kidnappings have taken place recently in both Scotts Valley and Soledad. At around 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon, a 17 year-old girl reported that a man tried to forcibly pull her into his green pick-up truck near the intersection of Mount Hermon and Kings Village Roads. That alleged kidnapper is described as a 5-foot 9-inch tall 200-pound Caucasian man with gray hair and a grey goatee. In Soledad a Hispanic man in his 20’s is said to be a person-of-interest in a case where someone reportedly made sexual comments while trying to lure young females into his beige or tan S.U.V.
