An attempted carjacking was reported in santa cruz on Friday night. The 10:15 p.m. incident occurred on the 4-hundred block of 2nd street, when a man approached the victim and demanded their car at gunpoint. The victim had been parking the vehicle, and the suspect thought the victim was alone in the car. The armed man fled when he realized there were 2-passengers in the vehicle.
