A man was arrested after an attempted car-jacking early this morning in Salinas. Alejandro Garcia is believed to have taken a pick-up truck from the Denny’s parking lot on North Main Street about 1:20 a.m. A short time later, while fleeing eastbound on Boronda Road, the truck was spotted by law enforcement officers. Garcia was booked into Monterey County Jail.
