In an effort to protect public access, a restoration project is being undertaken by California State Parks and Asilomar State Beach And Conference Grounds. The Coast Trail Restoration Project would move the trail further inland…to lessen the impact of coastal changes (due to the expected sea level rise). The project is slated to be funded by Aramark, (the concessionaire at the Conference Grounds).
