The man accused of raping and killing a 14 year-old girl nearly 30 years ago has been ordered to stand trial. Arsenio Pacheco Leyva is believed to have raped and killed Christy Sue Pina….leaving her body in an artichoke field in Castroville back in 1990. The teen is said to have been stabbed 23 times, as well as tortured and strangled. Leyva is also accused of an attempted kidnapping in 1993. Leyva is due to return to a Monterey County Court Room January 11th.
