A man has been arrested in connection with Sunday’s armed robbery of the Kohl’s department store in Capitola. Gerardo Orozco Torres hid nearly $300 worth of merchandise in his jacket, before leaving the store. Security guards followed Torres and tried to stop him from leaving, but he fled the scene. Watsonville police officers spotted Torres later, and arrested him. He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail.
