An Aptos Village Project appeal has been denied. Longtime Aptos resident, Becky Steinbruner, filed the appeal against some approved design changes that increased the scope of the project. Santa Cruz County Supervisors voted unanimously to deny her appeal, saying the design modifications did not warrant extra studies or reviews. One of the changes she was appealing was developer Barry Swenson adding 6 new residences to the size of the project. Steinbruner’s request to hold an additional hearing at the board level was granted by Supervisor Zach Friend.
