April 5, 2016: Marina Man Pleads Guilty to Gun Possession, Resisting Peace Officer

(08:03) MONTEREY COUNTY – A Marina man has pleaded guilty to felony gun charges and misdemeanor resisting a peace officer. In December, convicted felon 28-year-old Kashif Powell-Rogers evaded Salinas officers when they attempted to conduct a parole compliance check. He led police on a foot pursuit down North Main Street before being apprehended near Station Place. Powell-Rogers was found in possession of a loaded gun and ammunition. He was sentenced Monday to four years in state prison. (S.G.)
