(17:00) SALINAS – A police officer’s badge and gun were stolen from his vehicle today. The officer’s car was one of 3 vehicles burglarized in the Las Palmas area of Salinas. This theft came just 3 weeks after Salinas Police Chief Kelly McMillin’s assault rifle was stolen from a locked box in the trunk of his car. The man who is believed to have been involved with the earlier theft has been arrested.
