(06:35) SALINAS – A man sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in Salinas Thursday night. The incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. on Van Buren Avenue near Jackson Street. Officials say a 20-year-old Hispanic man was sitting in his car when he was approached by another vehicle. A passenger in the suspect vehicle opened fire on the man, striking him multiple times. The victim was transported to the hospital and is expected to recover. The shooting is under investigation. (S.G.)
