(09:16) MONTEREY COUNTY – A Seaside man has been sentenced for a number of charges, including domestic violence and gun possession. 37-year-old Juan Demetrius Watson was arrested in December 2014 for assaulting and threatening his ex-wife. On one occasion, Watson strangled the victim until she lost consciousness. He then sent the victim text messages after the incident, threatening her if she told police. He was sentenced on Wednesday to 12 years in prison. (S.G.)
