(09:21) SOLEDAD – A boy is missing following a carjacking in Soledad Thursday morning. The incident occurred shortly before 7 a.m. on the 100 block of Head Street. Officials say 2-year-old Jason Vargas was seated inside a car in front of his home, when his father went back inside their residence. While the father was inside the house, the car was stolen with the boy still inside. Vargas is wearing a beige beanie, blue sweater, a white shirt with yellow stripes, and blue jeans. The stolen car is a Honda Accord with tinted windows, damage to the left rear bumper, and license plate 7LIE244. Vargas has medical needs that put him at risk. Anyone with information is urged to contact local authorities. (S.G.)
