(08:26) SACRAMENTO – California legislators have approved a bill that would raise the state’s minimum wage to $15 by 2022. On Thursday, both the Senate and the Assembly passed SB3, which will give California the nation’s highest statewide minimum wage. The rate will increase from $10 to $10.50 on January 1, and will continue to be raised $1 every year until 2022. Small businesses with 26 or fewer employees will be given an extra year to comply. The bill now heads to the Governor’s desk for signature. (S.G.)
