The Soquel Creek Water District board has unanimously voted to exercise its 3.2 million dollar option to purchase nearly 2 acres of land in the Live Oak area of Santa Cruz. The light-industrial parcel is located on Chanticleer, near the intersection of Soquel Drive. Board members say the Pure Water Soquel Project is currently in the design phase, and they hope to break ground on the project in about a year.
