Although the 8 Monterey area beaches closed after the sewage spill re-opened yesterday, they have been closed again due to problems caused by storm drain run-off. That beach closure not only impacts the 8 that were closed for the sewage spill, but all the rest of the beaches in Monterey County as well. It is recommended that people not swim in, or have any other contact with, storm drain water for the next several days.
