Two decades-old abuse allegations caused an Alisal High School teacher resign.63-year-old Patrick Egan resigned after being placed on leave for allegations of physical abuse on the school campus.
According to Salinas police, a former student reported that Egan abused him on campus more than 20 years ago. During an investigation, police found additional possible victims and support for the student’s claim.
Egan had worked as a teacher, and sometimes an athletic coach, within the district since 1984. The school cooperated with the investigation.
