A man was fatally shot at a Monterey beach early Saturday morning. Shortly after 2 a.m. officers arrived to a reported shooting near Tide Avenue and Beach Way on Del Monte Beach. At the scene investigators located a gunshot victim. The victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Monterey police.
