The police chief in King City is stepping down, so he can take a new job in a city about an hour’s drive south from king city. Robert Masterson will take on the job in the city of Atascadero (in San Luis Obispo County).
Starting January 4th of 2021 Captain Keith Boyd will be the interim King City Police Chief.
Masterson will be honored for his service at the next city council meeting….which will be held on Zoom next Tuesday starting at 6 p.m., and the public is encouraged to participate.
